Canarywood (Centrolobium spp.) is an exotic hardwood from Central and South America, ranging from Panama to Brazil. The colors of canarywood, although generally a cast of yellow, can actually come in a rainbow that gradually homogenizes into a yellow hue similar to canary birds. It is commonly used to build speakers and other audio equipment because of its excellent acoustic properties. These knife racks are made by our friend Steve Preeg in Murietta, CA.
